The volatile oil from Myoporum bontiodes was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Fifty six components were detected and the structures of 47 compounds identified .These constituents represented 89.98% of the total peak areas. Sesquiterpenes (44.71%) were the major chemical constituents in the oil. Other constituents found were monoterpenes, fatty acids, alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, ethers,etc..
