The Taxonomy of Fusarium solam is reviewed in this paper, including the developement of its taxonomy, the holomorph,classification of formae specialis and genetic basis. The authors consider that the name of the species to be Fvsarium solani (Mart. ) Sacc. ,that of the perfect stage Nectria haematococca Berk, et Br. , and that the classification of the formae specialis on the basis of mating type in conjunction with pathogenicity is acceptable.
