Researches on essential oils applied against insect pests were reviewed in this parper focusing on four sections as follows:1 Attractancy attractancy of essential oils toward the insects;2 Repellent ,antifeedant and insect growth inhibitory actions of essential oils;.3 Toxicity of essential oils to insect pests;4 Synergistic effect of certain essential oils when mixed with other essential oils or synthetic insecticides.
