The present study was carried out by using bagasse as the cultivated materials.After fermentation in piling ,the materials could be used to cultivate an edible fungus Pleuro-tus sa jor-caju successfully. The result which was obtained from the repeated experimentsshowed that the mycelium of Pleurotus sajor-caju grew vigorously and thickly,and had astrong vitality in the bagasse medium that mixed with a small quantity of wheat bran and aproper quantity of mud powder.This method used to cultivate Pleurotus sajor-caju wasproved to be simple and effective. By means of this method ,the edible fungus could have ashorter period of growth and higher yield,174kg of reesh mushroom from 100kg of cultivat-ed materjals.
