The rhizome structures of three wild rice plants are compared in this paper. From the anatomical point of view,the rhizomes have structures similar to their stems,butthere are some differenee in their ventilating tissues and vascular bundles.Of thethree rhizome structrures,Oryza ru fipogon has the closest structure to that of Oryzasativa,Oryza officinalis being next,and Oryza meyeriana subsp. tuberculata third.
