This paper reviewed developments in the study on male sterility induced byhigh temperature in the silkworm,its discovery strain diversity,sensitive period to hightemperature and mechanism.The influence of high temperature on the malereproductive system was also discussed.The author suggested that it would besignificant for sericulture produotion and the pest control in agriculture and forestryto study the male sterility induced by high temperature intensively.
