    Abstract:

    The Gummosis of Peach tree is the mostserious disease in Guangdong pro-vince.It was considered a noninfective,physiological disease in the Dast.Inoculation experiments showed that the gummosis of peach tree was a fungaldisease.The causal pathogens included two fungi of Ascomycetes,Leptosphaeriapruni Woronichin and Cucurbitaria sp..They were different from Botryosphaeriadothidea Weaver and Physalospora persicae ABIKO et KITAJIMA reportedby scholars in China and abroad.The Cucurbitaria sp.and Leptosphaeria pruni inpeach tree were the first reported in China and in Guangdong Provincerespectively.
