In this paper,the basic characters of the resourees of rare and endangered plants inGuangdong province and the causes of their endangerment are reported.The resoureesof rare and endangered plants in Guangdong possess the features of richness incomposition,complexity of flora,antiquity of origin,abundance of endemic ele-ments,diversity of usage,but of limited distribution.Some proposals for protecting theresourees of these plants are presented based on analysis of the causes ofendangerment.
