In China, many methods have been tried and used in the prevention and control of the termites in dams. Five widely-used methods of prevent and control of termites in dams were introduced in the paper. By analysing and comparing their effects it showed that every method had its strong and weak points, and the method of Three Processes-Eight Steps was the most effective for the elimination of termites in dams.
