The planting system of Guangdong province is evaluated by using energy and emergy analysis theory. The results show that the emergy input level of planting system in Guangdong is lower than that in developed countries, Which suggest the emergy input should be increased. The focal point of emergy input is to raise the level of farming technology and increase renewable resource emergy input, especially using agricultural ecolopcal engineering technology and biotechniques.
