    Abstract:

    Eight pathogen fungi in Pachira macrocarpa (Cham. et. Schlecht.) Walp. in Guangzhou were identified, which included Phomopsis macrocarpae P. G. Xi, Z. D. Jiang et P. K. Chi sp. nov., Phomopsis durionis H. Syd., Botryodiplodia theobromae Pat., Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (Penz.) Sacc., Pestalotiopsis gracilis (Kleb.) Stey., Trichothecium roseum Lk. ex Fr., Curvularia lunata (Walk.) Boed. and Alternaria tenuissima ( Fr.) Wiltsh.. The description in Latin and figure of the new species were given in the paper. The type specimens are deposited in the Fungal Collection of South China Agricultural University. Two diseases of them, leaf spot by Phomopsis durionis and stem rot by Botryodiplodia theobromae , occurred widely and severely.
