The main problems of land resources use in Zengcheng were pointed out. According to the deviations in its natural geography features, current situation and development direction etc., the landuse of Zengcheng was distinguished into three kinds of development models ,including town agglomeration district model, cultivated land opening district model and ecological construction district model, which should be performed with different development strategies based on the fundamental principles for the sustainable use of land resources. some suggestions to promote the level of land resources sustainable use were provided.
