Rotentone was characterized by single crystal X ray analysis Crystal data: Orthorhombic, space group P 2 12 12 1, a =0 8417 8(1), b =1 986 9(3), c =2 361 8(4)nm, V = 3 950(1) nm 3, Z = 8 The crystal structure shows that there are two stereoisomerides of rotenone in solid state
