Abstract:

Properties of tissue culture of 11 sugarcane genotypes were studied. The results showed that the ratios of explant browning were obviously decreased and the ratios of callus inducing were greatly increased after the explants were soaked in 200 mg/L polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) solution for 20 minutes. The ratios of explant browning, callus inducing, callus multiplication and callus differentiation of 11 sugarcane genotypes were significantly different in the same culture condition.
