A total of 1 549 species and varieties of vascular plants belonging to 745 genera, 204 families were found in Lianhuashan Baipanzhu Nature Reserve, Huidong, Guangdong Province.Of them, 104 were fern species falling into 52 genera, 30 families, 21 gymnosperm species belonging to 16 genera, 10 families and 1 424 angiosperm species belonging to 677 genera, 164 families. Among the plants found, 54 species were national key protected plants, 606 were medicinal plants, 196 ornamental ,173 timber, 111 fiber, 103 fruit, 89 oil bearing, 66 fodder, 55 tannic, 39 potherb and 36 pesticide.
