The present paper is a supplement to the Flora Reipublicae Popularis Sinicae (volume 51, Violaceae, 1991), mainly based on the study results in the Royal Botanic Garden, Kew, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh,and the British Museum by the first author in 2000. Ten species are reported, namely Viola yunnanfuensis W.Becker,Viola duclouxii W.Becker, Viola pulla W.Becker,Viola gan-chouenensis W.Becker,Viola dentariaefolia Boissieu,Viola fargesii Boissieu,Viola mairei Leveille,Viola perpusilla Boissieu,Viola striatella Boissieu and Viola belophylla Boissieu. All specimens involved are preserved in the herbarium of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and that of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
