    Abstract:

    Five species are reported as new records to Hainan Island, China. They are Acer cordatum Pax, Hedera nepalensis var. sinensis (Tobl.) Rehd. , Gentiana loureirii (G. Don) Griseb. , Eupatorium catarium Veldk. and Tithonia diversifolia A. Gray. All the voucher specimens involved are preserved in Herbarium of South China Institute of Botany, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IBSC).
