Abstract:

The clinical behavior, gross lesions, histopathological changes, pathophysiological changes, cel- lular immunity, virus distribution in tissues and apoptosis induced after chickens were infected by H5N1 AIV were reviewed. The molecular basis of highly pathogenicity of H5N1 AIVs to chicken was also discussed.
