    Abstract:

Effects of hormone on shoot formation and plant regeneration were studied in reproduction of cotyledon as explant in Brassica alboglabra Bailey. The results showed that shoot formation frequency from the cotyledons with petiole was higher than that of the cotyledon segments without petiole. The maximal shoots formation frequency was 93.75%,When cultured on MS medium containing 0.05 mg/L NAA,2.0 mg/L 6-BA,30.00 g/L sucrose and 8.00 g/L agar(pH 5.8).The elongated shoots rooted in MS medium without hormone or MS medium containing 0.1 mg/L NAA,with 100% and 86.11% of rooting rates, respectively.More and stronger roots were induced in the latter medium.
