    Abstract:

In order to investigate the effects of the C/N ratio and bacterial reagent addition on dynamic changes of organics degradation and biological indicators during the organic garden waste composting, a compost test with different disposing measures was conducted. The results showed that the adjustment of C/N ratio and the bacterial reagents addition benefited the compost temperature rising and acceleration of maturity, reduced the compost toxicity, promoted the degradation of volatile solids, accelerated the decomposition of organic carbon, the total and free humic acid, increased the HA/ FA ratio, and improved the compost quality. The results indicated that the adjustment of C/N ratio combined with the bacterial reagents addition was more effective to the maturity and quality improvement of compost than the only regulating C/N ratio.
