    Abstract:

    In this paper, terminology of primary setae and pores proposed by Bousquet & Goulet were used to described the first instar larvae of four Carabus species belonging to the subgenus Apotomopterus Hope: Carabus (A.) sauteri nanlingensis Deuve et Tian, C. (A.) shun floridus Cavazzuti et Ratti, C.(A.) shikengkong Deuve et Tian,and C. (A.) arrowi yubeicus Deuve et Tian. In order to distinguish and identify different species, a classified key to species based on the larval character states was also provided.
