Abstract:The integrated urban-rural development is a key way to solve the imbalance and insufficiency of China's economic and social development. In ten years of the New Era, China has achieved remarkable results in the integrated urban-rural development, with orderly progress in the citizenization of agricultural transfer populations, solid results in the reform of the rural land system, rational allocation of public resources to improve quality and efficiency, comprehensive victory in the fight against poverty, and the gap between urban and rural regional development continues to narrow. Faced with the new journey and new tasks, the institutional mechanisms, infrastructure, basic public services, and poverty alleviation quality of China's integrated urban-rural development face varying degrees of challenges. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" and beyond, China's integrated urban-rural development should adhere to and strengthen the comprehensive leadership of the Party, deepen the reform of the system and mechanism for integrated urban-rural development, accelerate the interconnection of urban and rural infrastructure, promote the inclusive sharing of basic public services between urban and rural areas, and continue to consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation, providing strong support for agricultural and rural modernization and agricultural powerhouse on the new journey.
