Abstract:The new changes in the current urban-rural relationship have brought new opportunities for the governance of rural hollowing in the process of rural revitalization. From the perspective of the relationship between administration and self-governance, combined with multiple case comparisons, it is found that in the face of the hollowing problem in the main dimensions of rural population, land, and culture, using administration to guide self-governance to achieve organizational restructuring, responsibility reshaping, and value rebuilding is a reasonable direction for promoting effective governance of rural hollowing. However, at the same time, the achievement of a positive relationship between administration and self-governance is not only the result of continuous hardware investment in administrative power, but should also focus on the profound impact of traditional nostalgia on the social, economic, and cultural connections of villagers from a larger temporal and spatial perspective, which is rooted in the foundation of a comfortable life, and make the two jointly rediscover their nostalgia in their own practical development, starting from the logic of action, the logic of interest, and the logic of identity, only then can it better mobilize the participation vitality of villagers as self-governance forces, and effectively enhance the governance efficiency of rural hollowing under the effective guidance of self-governance through administration.
